Graduated from ESJ, Lille, the most renowned journalism school in France in 2013, Lu has worked with many of the world’s largest broadcasters, most renowned production companies and global brands. In 2019, Lu founded Focus Film China, a creative video agency which later became official video vendor of UNICEF in China in 2021 and of Nature in 2024.

What type of turnaround time do you offer?
It's better to contact us 2 weeks in advance so we can book the date for your shooting and prepare for the shoot. However, we totally understand that some shoots can only be confirmed 2-3 days in advance. We are flexible for this kind of urgent shoots too! Easy and quick communication, flexible shooting dates and immediate uploading of footage: Focus Film China makes your shoot go smoothly even it's confirmed at the last minute!
Where does your team operate?
We’re headquartered in Beijing, but as a leading Chinese video production company and official video vendor of UNICEF and UNFPA, we have video & photo crews in 50+ Chinese cities, such as Shanghai, Shi Jiazhuang, Tianjin, Shenzhen, Qingdao, Guangzhou, Yantai, Jinan, Suzhou, Hangzhou, Haikou, Wuhan, Chongqing, Chengdu, Kunming, Ningxia, etc.
What kind of gear do you have?
For the cameras, we mainly use Sony FX9, FX6, FX3, FS7, A7 series, depending on the requirements of the clients. For the lights, we mainly use 300D, 600D and LEDs. Besides, we also have boom, wireless mics, gimbal, drone, reflectors, event and interview live-streaming gear to meet all kinds of demands of our clients.
What is the cost of a shooting or editing a video?

Do we need to get shooting permits in China if we want to do some B-rolls shoots outdoors?
For some places, yes. Let us know what’s the objective of your B-rolls. We can help you get the shooting permits or we can help you find places where shooting permits are not needed.
